This is a new system that the practice has started. This will enable the doctors to deal with more patients each day. The reason the surgery has adopted this system is to cope with the increased level of demand for appointments.
Telephone triage operates every weekday. You will need to give a receptionist an up to date telephone number for the doctor to call you back on. After speaking to you the doctor will make a clinical decision as to when and if you need to be seen, as there are some problems that can be dealt with over the phone, this will save you having to attend the surgery.
If the doctor does need to see you, they will try to give you an appointment that is convenient to you.
